Radian 360 Process

I spent a lot of time analyzing Facebook Live, Periscope, Meerkat, and other similar products because I wanted to really understand what was already out there and what could make Radian stand out. The main differentiating factor being that Radian was much more like television in that content is broadcasted by paid media companies as opposed to user submitted — content with Radian was a premium experience.

After research, I had to define the framework of the app. I created many different layouts and user flows to determine the best ways for the users to appreciate the content. In the end I landed on a good balance between showcasing an individual piece of content and showing more than one piece of content at a time.

Radian is heavily reliant on content streaming as it happens. To make this experience a seamless, I put a a lot of importance on the Live Feed. To further highlight content happening now, I made the most recent live stream top level, instead of burying it the feed.
